Job Responsibilities
Read and understand mechanical drawings, tolerances and GD&T; symbols.
Perform accurate fitting, drilling, tapping, reaming, grinding and assembly work.
Inspect manufactured components using vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge and dial indicator.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish according to drawings.
Support assembly and design teams during machine development and trials.
Complete assigned jobs according to production schedules and report delays promptly.
Assist with machine installation,
modification and breakdown work at customer sites when required.
Required Skills
Conventional machining and precision fitting
Mechanical drawing interpretation
Knowledge of limits, fits and tolerances
Measuring-instrument handling
Jig and fixture manufacturing
Tool selection and machining-process knowledge
Basic welding and fabrication knowledge
Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
Basic knowledge of CNC/VMC operation is preferred
Ability to work independently and within a team
