We are looking for a skilled Packaging Machine Operator to operate and maintain packaging machines while ensuring production targets, food safety standards, and packaging quality are achieved. The ideal candidate should have experience in food manufacturing and possess solid troubleshooting and machine operation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor packaging machines to ensure uninterrupted production.
Set up machines according to production schedules and SKU requirements.
Coordinate with Stores for packaging materials and spare parts.
Perform machine start-up checks before every shift.
Monitor machine performance, temperature, vibration, and nitrogen flow.
Troubleshoot minor machine breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance team.
Ensure products are packed according to quality and food safety standards.
Minimize machine downtime, wastage, and packaging defects.
Maintain machine logbooks and CCP records.
Ensure timely clearance of hold and rejected materials.
Follow GMP, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Supervise housekeeping in the packaging area.
Support installation and commissioning of current packaging machines.
Train and guide packaging operators on machine handling and best practices.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams.
Requirements
ITI, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
3–5 years of experience in Food Manufacturing or FMCG Packaging.
Experience operating automatic packaging machines.
Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance knowledge.
Understanding of GMP, Food Safety, and Hygiene practices.
Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
