Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
1–2 years of experience in Costing / Estimation within a manufacturing setting.
Valuable understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering components.
Knowledge of material costing, machining/fabrication costs, and production processes.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Prepare cost estimates and quotations for manufactured components/products.
Analyze raw material, machining, fabrication, labor, tooling, and overhead costs.
Study engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes for costing.
Prepare BOM-based costing and material cost calculations.
Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Design, and Quality teams for accurate cost inputs.
Compare estimated costs with actual production costs and identify variations.
Support in cost reduction and value engineering activities.
Maintain costing sheets, databases, and quotation records.
Assist in preparing commercial proposals based on customer requirements.
