JOB DESCRIPTION – HOUSEMAN

Department: Housekeeping
Position: Houseman
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth day-to-day operations throughout guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
Assist Room Attendants with cleaning and servicing guest rooms and public areas.
Collect and deliver linen, towels, amenities, and housekeeping supplies.
Maintain cleanliness of corridors, service areas, back-of-house areas, and housekeeping stores.
Handle garbage disposal and ensure proper segregation as per hotel standards.
Support room attendants with extra beds, mattresses, furniture, and other required items.
Assist in moving housekeeping equipment and materials safely.
Replenish housekeeping supplies and maintain proper stock levels.
Report maintenance issues, damages, and lost & found items to the concerned supervisor.
Follow hotel standards for hygiene, safety, grooming, and guest service.




Perform other housekeeping duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Previous hotel housekeeping experience will be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures and hygiene standards.
Physically fit and capable of handling housekeeping equipment and materials.
Valuable teamwork, discipline, and communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Versatile to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
