Job Purpose
To operate, monitor, and maintain cutting machines to produce materials as per production specifications while ensuring quality, productivity, safety, and machine efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate cutting machines as per production schedules and work instructions.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, cutting plans, and job orders.
Load, align, and securely position raw materials before starting machine operations.
Adjust machine settings to achieve accurate dimensions and required quality standards.
Monitor machine performance and make minor operational adjustments as required.
Inspect finished products using appropriate measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
Identify and report machine faults, equipment issues, and quality concerns to the Production Supervisor.
Minimize material wastage and ensure optimum machine utilization.
Maintain accurate production, inspection, and maintenance records.
Follow all company safety procedures and use the required PPE.
Maintain a clean and organized work area following good housekeeping practices.
Qualification & Experience
ITI, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Production, or a related technical field.
1–3 years of experience operating industrial cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
Candidates with relevant hands-on machine operating experience will be preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Positive knowledge of cutting machine operations and safety practices.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and production instructions.
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as:
Vernier Calipers
Micrometers
Tape Measures
Gauges
Basic troubleshooting and machine-setting skills.
Good understanding of quality and production requirements.
Ability to work in a shift-based manufacturing workplace.
Positive attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
