Role: R&D; Chef / Culinary Consultant – Mexican & Tex-Mex QSR
Project: Current premium rapid-casual restaurant concept

The Burrito Co is developing a contemporary Mexican/Tex-Mex QSR concept in Hyderabad and is looking for an experienced R&D; Chef / Culinary Consultant to develop, test and standardize our opening menu.

The concept will focus on burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, salsas and signature sauces, combining Mexican fundamentals with selected flavours suited to the Indian market.

Burritos & burrito bowls
Spicy Chicken Tikka Tacos
Crispy Paneer Tacos
Hot Tofu Tacos
Crispy Cauliflower Tacos
Crispy Lotus Stem Tacos
Quesadillas & nachos
Mexican rice & beans
Pico de gallo & corn salsa
Guacamole
Queso
Chipotle crema
Raita crema
Signature hot sauces

Responsibilities: Develop and conduct recipe trials; standardize every recipe in grams/ml; establish portion sizes, batch yields, prep methods,



holding times and shelf life; calculate food cost per portion; develop kitchen SOPs and prep sheets; recommend ingredient specifications and suppliers; assist with kitchen workflow/equipment requirements; conduct packaging and delivery-quality tests; train the opening kitchen team; and support final menu trials before launch.

Ideal candidate: Prior experience in Mexican/Tex-Mex, QSR, fast-casual, wraps/bowls/tacos or international cuisine is preferred. Strong knowledge of recipe standardization, food costing, commercial kitchen operations and scalable production is essential.

This is not only a cooking position. We are looking for someone capable of creating a menu that can eventually be reproduced consistently across multiple outlets.

Engagement: Approximately 6–8 week R&D; project, with potential for continued involvement during launch and future expansion.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
