The Welder is responsible for performing welding and fabrication work as per drawings, safety standards, and quality requirements. The role includes cutting, joining, and repairing metal structures using appropriate welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG / TIG / Arc (SMAW) welding as per project or shop requirements.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and measurements.
Prepare, fit, and weld metal components accurately.
Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and strength according to standards.
Operate cutting tools, grinders, and welding machinery safely.
Perform assembly, fitting, and fabrication tasks where required.
Maintain cleanliness of welding equipment and work area.
Follow safety guidelines, PPE usage,
and company compliance standards.
Work closely with supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Welding or relevant trade preferred.
Minimum 1–3 years experience in welding / fabrication.
Valuable knowledge of MIG / TIG / Arc welding methods.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Solid attention to safety and quality.
Physically fit and comfortable working in industrial workplace.
