Position: Design Engineer – SolidWorks
Department: Design & Engineering
Experience: 2–5 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibilities:
Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
Develop detailed designs based on customer requirements, specifications, and engineering standards.
Prepare production drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Perform design calculations, material selection, and basic engineering analysis.
Coordinate with production, purchase, quality, and project teams to ensure smooth execution.
Review existing designs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and design improvement.
Ensure designs meet required dimensions, tolerances, safety, and quality standards.
Support prototype development, testing, and design validation.
Incorporate engineering changes and maintain updated design documentation.




Communicate with customers and vendors when required regarding technical specifications.

Required Skills:
Robust proficiency in SolidWorks – Part, Assembly, and Drawing.
Valuable knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of materials, fabrication, machining, sheet metal, and mechanical components.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Valuable communication and coordination skills.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate:
Mechanical Engineering background with practical design experience.
Hands-on experience in SolidWorks and mechanical product/equipment design.
Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to work according to project deadlines.
