The AutoCAD 2D Draftsman will be responsible for preparing exact 2D mechanical drawings and layouts to support engineering and project requirements. The role requires solid drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to convert mechanical design concepts into clear technical outputs. This role does not involve 3D drafting.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical 2D Drafting: Create 2D mechanical drawings, layouts, and detailed fabrication plans using AutoCAD.
Design Interpretation: Translate mechanical sketches, specifications, and instructions into accurate technical drawings.
Project Support: Assist mechanical engineers and project managers with drafting requirements for ongoing projects.
Documentation: Maintain drawing records, revisions, and ensure compliance with company drafting standards.
Quality Assurance: Verify accuracy, clarity, and adherence to mechanical drafting standards and project specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting software.
Robust knowledge of mechanical engineering drawings, symbols, and standards.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Experience
Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in engineering or manufacturing projects.
Exposure to fabrication, machining, or manufacturing drawings preferred.
Freshers are not eligible for this role.
Additional Requirement
Candidates must be ready to attend a tool test as part of the selection process.
