Senior Manager – Operations (Ocean Freight)

Job Purpose:

Responsible for managing and overseeing Ocean Freight Operations, ensuring productive shipment execution, operational excellence, customer satisfaction and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end Ocean Import & Export Operations across assigned locations.
Lead and monitor regional/branch operations teams and ensure optimum productivity.
Ensure timely shipment processing, documentation, billing coordination and file closure.
Monitor operational KPIs, pending shipments, customer escalations and service quality.
Drive process standardization, operational efficiency and cost control.
Coordinate with shipping lines, overseas offices, customers and internal stakeholders.




Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.
Mentor and develop the operations team and support manpower planning.
Prepare operational MIS and provide regular updates to management.

Experience & Qualification:
Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
12–15+ years of experience in Ocean Freight Operations, preferably in freight forwarding/MNC workplace.
Robust knowledge of Ocean Import & Export processes.
Excellent leadership, customer management, problem-solving and communication skills.
