Role: AIX Administrator
Mandatory Skills
Solid experience in IBM AIX Administration
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX servers
Experience with LPAR, VIOS, NIM, and PowerVM
User administration, file systems, volume groups, and logical volumes
Performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity management
Patch management, OS upgrades, and system migrations
Knowledge of PowerHA (HACMP) clustering
Shell scripting and automation
Troubleshooting OS, hardware, and performance-related issues
Experience with server backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Valuable understanding of SAN Storage and connectivity
Exposure to Linux administration is an added advantage

PowerHA / HACMP Administration




Ansible or Automation Tools
IBM Power Systems Administration
ITIL Process Knowledge
Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure) is a plus

Key Responsibilities
Administer and support IBM AIX production environments.
Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
Manage LPARs, VIOS, NIM, and PowerVM infrastructure.
Monitor system health, performance, and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve server-related incidents within SLA.
Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
Support change, incident, and problem management processes.
Work closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams.
