Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SQL Server & PostgreSQL DBA with 4+ years of hands-on experience managing production databases hosted across On-Premises and AWS settings. The candidate will be responsible for database availability, performance, security, backup/recovery, compliance, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n
Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot SQL Server and PostgreSQL production environments.
/n
Manage databases hosted on On-Premises and AWS infrastructure.
/n
Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
/n
Manage SQL Server Always On, PostgreSQL Replication, HA/DR, and failover activities.
/n
Perform database backup, restore, recovery, and DR testing.
/n
Perform performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.
/n
Manage database growth, storage, and capacity planning.
/n
Implement database security including users,



roles, permissions, encryption, TDE, and least-privilege access.
/n
Support security audits, compliance requirements, access reviews, and audit findings remediation.
/n
Monitor database health, performance, replication, backups, storage, and availability.
/n
Automate routine DBA activities using T-SQL, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
/n
Handle production incidents, perform RCA, and implement preventive measures.
/n
Maintain DBA documentation, SOPs, security controls, and operational procedures.
/n

Required Skills

/n

/n
4+ years of hands-on DBA experience.
/n
Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
/n
Experience managing databases on On-Premises and AWS-hosted infrastructure.
/n
Robust knowledge of backup/recovery, performance tuning, HA/DR, replication, and database security.
/n
Positive experience with PostgreSQL TimescaleDB.
/n
Experience with SQL Serve
