Educational Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering

Responsibilities
Solid knowledge mainframe operations or development, with a strong focus on JCL and batch processing.
Positive knowledge and understanding of COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS database
Monitor and manage daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc batch processing operations, ensuring timely completion of scheduled jobs.
Initiate, track, and control batch job execution using Scheduling tools.
Analyze batch job failures, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Troubleshoot JCL errors, application-related issues, and system-level problems affecting batch processing.
Perform restarts and recoveries of failed batch jobs as per defined procedures.
Proficiency in JCL programming and debugging.
Knowledge of incident management processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills and able to drive the things on own
Need to have ServiceNow, Jira, TWS scheduler, Control-M tool knowledge

Technical and Professional Requirements
Solid experience in Mainframe Operations and/or Development environments.
Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language) programming, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Good knowledge of: COBOL CICS DB2 IMS Database
Experience in monitoring and managing batch processing cycles (daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc).
Hands-on experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as: TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler) Control-M
