Roles and Responsibilities :
Utility Technology / Grid Software Engineering leadership role rather than a generic Software Engineering Manager.
You are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager / Sr. Manager with 12+ years of experience who has worked specifically in the electric utility / power-grid domain.
The ideal person should understand both:
Software Engineering: Leading engineering teams, delivery, governance, metrics, process improvement.
Power Utility Domain: Transmission operations, EMS, SCADA, grid applications, power systems, or utility software.
They should also be robust in Protected PI Planning, managing quarterly plans, dependencies, risks, vendors, contracts, and multiple stakeholders.
In straightforward terms:
“A senior technology leader who understands electric utilities and can manage large grid-software engineering programs, teams, vendors, planning, risks, and delivery.”
