Role & responsibilities
Identify and develop current business prospects and overseas markets.
Generate leads through market research, networking, industry contacts, consultants, EPC partners, developers and other channels.
Build and maintain robust relationships with international clients, consultants, developers, EPC companies, channel partners and business associates.
Understand client requirements and coordinate internally for preparation of suitable proposals and commercial offers.
Support the Business Head in developing and converting new business opportunities.
Conduct regular follow-ups with prospective and existing clients and maintain a healthy business pipeline.
Travel to overseas markets whenever required for client meetings, business development, project discussions, exhibitions, negotiations and relationship building.
Represent the company professionally in international meetings, conferences and industry events.
Track market trends, competitors, upcoming projects, tenders and potential business opportunities.
Maintain accurate lead,



opportunity and client relationship trackers and provide regular business development reports to the Business Head.
Coordinate with internal teams including Projects, Design, Procurement, Finance and Techno-Commercial for client requirements and proposal development.
Assist in commercial negotiations, presentations and closure of business opportunities.
Develop long-term strategic relationships and explore partnerships/JVs/alliances to expand the company's international presence.

Preferred candidate profile
Graduate / MBA in Business Development, International Business, Marketing or related field.
6 to 10 years of experience in Business Development, preferably in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy / Infrastructure / Engineering.
Proven experience in international / overseas business development will be preferred.
Strong network and market understanding of international markets will be an advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
Willingness and ability to undertake frequent international travel as required.
