Assistant Manager-Medical Coding

Experience Required

Required Qualification/ Preferred Certifications: Bachelor's degree/ Minimum 5–8 years of experience(Multispecialty coding) At least 2–3 years of experience team leadership/Managerial role. Certification - AAPC/AHIMA. Multispecialty Coding Operations Account and Client Relationship Management Team Leadership and People Management Quality Assurance and Compliance Denial Management Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Communication and Presentation Skills Process Improvement & Performance Management.

Eligibility

Own end-to-end operational performance for assigned medical coding accounts. Manage daily operations across coding teams, Team Leaders, Quality Analysts, and other support functions. Ensure achievement of agreed productivity, quality, TAT, accuracy, and SLA metrics. Monitor account performance and identify operational risks before they impact client commitments. Establish appropriate staffing, capacity, and workload plans based on business volumes. Ensure effective allocation of work across coding teams and processes. Drive operational discipline,



process adherence, and timely escalation management. Conduct regular operational reviews and business performance discussions. Prepare and present MIS, KPI dashboards, SLA performance, quality trends, productivity, volume, staffing, and action plans. Understand client expectations and translate them into actionable operational requirements. Manage client escalations with appropriate root-cause analysis and corrective action.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. A degree/diploma in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Healthcare Management will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills

Certification - AAPC/AHIMA.

Salary: Will be matched according to previous salary and experience
