Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Solutions Lead – Microsoft Fabric to lead the design, development, and implementation of modern enterprise data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data architecture, data engineering, analytics, cloud platforms, and Microsoft data technologies, along with the ability to lead technical teams and engage with business stakeholders.

The candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable data solutions, defining technical architecture, establishing data engineering best practices, and ensuring successful delivery of enterprise data and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Design scalable and secure data platforms covering Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI.
- Define data architecture, integration patterns, data models, and solution standards.
- Lead the development of ETL/ELT pipelines and contemporary data engineering solutions.
- Design and implement data ingestion and transformation frameworks using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
- Work closely with business, product, and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data engineers, developers, and BI professionals.
- Establish best practices for data quality, governance, security, performance, and scalability.
- Design and implement medallion architecture and enterprise data models where appropriate.
- Work with OneLake to establish centralized and governed data access across the organization.
- Develop solutions using Spark, PySpark, SQL, and notebooks for large-scale data processing.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including relational databases, APIs, cloud platforms, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems.




- Design and optimize Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions in collaboration with BI teams.
- Implement data security, access controls, governance, lineage, and compliance requirements.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data pipelines, queries, storage, and workloads.
- Define and implement CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering and analytics solutions.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical discussions, estimations, and solution planning.
- Evaluate emerging Microsoft Fabric capabilities and recommend improvements to the organization's data platform.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for reliability, maintainability, scalability, and security.

- Experience designing scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data lake/lakehouse architectures.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.

Azure & Cloud

- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure data services.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and related Azure services.
- Understanding of cloud-based data architecture and security.





BI & Analytics

- Strong understanding of Power BI and semantic modeling.
- Experience with DAX and data visualization concepts is preferred.
- Ability to work closely with BI and analytics teams to deliver business-ready data solutions.

DevOps & Engineering Practices

- Experience with Azure DevOps/Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment practices is preferred.
- Experience implementing development, testing, and production deployment processes.

Data Architecture & Governance

- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, and master/reference data concepts.
- Understanding of security models, role-based access control, and sensitive data management.
- Experience designing solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

- Lead and mentor technical teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Act as a technical point of contact for data architecture and Microsoft Fabric initiatives.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
- Manage technical dependencies, risks, and delivery challenges.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, product owners, and engineering teams.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Microsoft certifications such as Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or related certifications are preferred.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale data transformation or modernization programs.
- Experience migrating legacy data platforms to cloud-based or Microsoft Fabric architectures.
- Experience with real-time/streaming data solutions is an advantage.
- Knowledge of AI/ML data platforms and GenAI data architectures is a plus.
