Engineering at AssetPlus is a growth led, high-velocity team of 18 engineers organized into three product pods. We ship on a modern, AI-enabled Node.js + TypeScript + MongoDB stack, own our systems in production, and hold a high technical and cultural bar. The Role

We are looking for a deeply hands-on SDE-3 who owns features end-to-end and raises the quality bar within a pod. You bring strong technical judgment, speed, clarity and simplicity to everything you build. You will be a core builder inside one product pod: designing services, writing production Node.js + TypeScript, shaping MongoDB schemas, debugging across backend, React and Flutter, and keeping the systems you own reliable. You will use AI as a cognitive partner to move faster without lowering the bar.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Systems

- Design and build scalable, resilient services within your pod's domain.
- Contribute to system design reviews and argue trade-offs with first-principles reasoning.
- Decide what to build vs reuse vs adopt open-source, and explain the call.
- Follow and strengthen the architecture patterns the team has agreed on.

Hands-On Engineering

- Write high-quality Node.js + TypeScript code - readable, tested, production-grade.
- Design efficient MongoDB schemas and build complex aggregations.
- Debug issues across React, Flutter and Backend, down to the infra and DB layer.
- Leverage AI capabilities and develop at a high pace with good taste.

AI Driven Engineering

- Use AI as a cognitive partner to accelerate coding, debugging,



design and decision-making.
- Orchestrate models, tools, context and workflows into a productive AI-powered engineering loop.
- Continuously adopt new AI capabilities to compound speed and improve system quality.
- Bring AI native practices into your pod's day-to-day workflow.

Reliability & Support

- Monitor the systems you own and catch issues early.
- Respond to critical incidents with urgency - including off-hours when it matters.
- Drive root-cause analysis, performance improvements and observability.

Developer Experience & Quality

- Contribute to improving developer workflows, tooling and automation.
- Maintain high standards around clarity, testing, security and simplicity.
- Advocate for minimal, robust and maintainable engineering.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and review their work closely.
- Communicate decisions clearly and confidently.
- Be approachable, energetic and easy to build with.

What we are looking for;

Must have

- 6–8 years of full stack experience with a backend-heavy core (experience range is indicative - we hire for ownership, not tenure)
- Strong Node.js + TypeScript in production; you have owned services end-to-end, not just contributed
- Solid MongoDB - schema design, indexing, complex aggregations
- Built and operated systems under real load; comfortable being on the hook when they break
- Strong debugging across backend, frontend and DB layer
- Pragmatic engineering judgment - simple > clever; sound build vs reuse vs open-source calls
- Strong communicator - can clearly explain a system you owned and the decisions behind it

Strongly Preferred

- Hands-on AWS - CloudWatch, ECS, Amplify, Lambda, SQS, SES
- React and/or Flutter exposure - enough to debug across the stack
- Fintech, wealth-tech or SEBI-regulated product experience
- Daily use of AI coding tools as a real productivity multiplier, not a novelty
- Experience mentoring juniors and running meaningful code reviews
- CI/CD, Docker and GitHub-based workflows in a quick-shipping team
