Applicants must reside in India and be authorized to work as independent contractors with overlapping part time working hours of Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Our English Group, LLC is seeking a Product Test Engineer to support product quality throughout development, release testing, launch, and post-launch operations. This role will be responsible for designing and executing hands-on feature testing across the full Our English platform, including the marketing website, main web platform, AI experiences, lessons, communities, games, payments, subscriptions, and other integrations.

The Product Test Engineer will test features from the user's perspective, identify functional issues and confusing experiences, reproduce and document defects, and verify completed fixes. The Product Test Engineer will also create complete release test plans, coordinate testing performed by team members across multiple teams, track testing results and relevant customer feedback, and support stakeholder signoff and release readiness.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of direct testing experience and has previously coordinated release testing across multiple teams. A successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, technically capable, and analysis of launch and post-launch feedback.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute functional, exploratory, integration,



regression, and release testing across the Our English platform from the user's perspective, identifying functional issues, confusing experiences, and unexpected behavior.
- Create complete release test plans defining scope, methods, timelines, responsibilities, and required feedback.
- Coordinate platform-wide testing across multiple teams, manage stakeholder review and signoff, and confirm release readiness across major product areas.
- Reproduce and document reported issues, communicate findings to product and development teams, verify completed fixes, and conduct regression testing.
- Collect, monitor, and analyze soft launch and post-launch feedback using Smartsheet and other designated feedback tools, identifying issues, trends, priorities, and opportunities for improvement.
- Help establish and maintain post-launch feedback mechanisms for reporting problems, sharing feedback, and submitting product enhancement requests.
- Proactively communicate significant findings, risks, blockers, decisions, and positive outcomes as they arise rather than relying on reports alone.
- Provide a concise executive summary with every communication and report so key information, status, and required actions are immediately clear.

Qualifications

- Minimum of two years of direct experience as a Product Test Engineer, QA Engineer, Test Analyst, or similar product quality role.
- Experience designing and executing functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and release testing across web applications, browsers,



platform integrations, and the software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience creating release test plans, coordinating testing across multiple teams, tracking progress, and assessing release readiness.
- Ability to reproduce and document software defects and clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working independently in a fast-paced startup setting with changing priorities and release timelines.
- Experience with Odoo, particularly Helpdesk, workflow automation, ticket management, or product feedback processes, is a plus.
- Experience with Smartsheet or similar feedback and data collection tools is beneficial.

Physical Requirements

This is a remote, computer-based role. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a desk, as well as regular use of a computer, mouse, and keyboard.

- This is a contracted position. All work is project based and does not constitute an offer of employment
- Contractors are responsible for providing their own computer, internet access, and working environment. Access to required software will be provided by Our English Group, LLC
- Compensation and scope of work will be outlined in a separate contractor agreement
- Compensation will be processed through Rippling, with currency and payment preferences set up based on contractor onboarding details
- Contractors are responsible for complying with any applicable tax or invoicing requirements
- All work produced is the property of Our English Group, LLC and may not be used or distributed without written permission
- Selected applicants may be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement and/or independent contractor agreement prior to starting work
