We are looking for a Backend Architect with 10+ years of experience in software engineering and strong expertise in Node.js and backend development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems.
- Own complete backend architecture and system design for large-scale applications.
- Make architectural and technology decisions aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Design and implement REST APIs and API architecture.
- Design and develop microservices and distributed systems.
- Define database architecture and data management strategies.
- Design caching strategies for high-performance applications.
- Implement message queues and event-driven architectures.
- Design authentication and security mechanisms.
- Integrate third-party services and external systems.
- Define and implement cloud architecture.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, availability, and performance of backend systems.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Establish architecture standards, best practices, and technical governance.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in Node.js and backend development.
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Backend Architect.
- Strong experience in backend architecture and system design.
- Strong understanding of:
- REST APIs and API architecture
- Microservices
- Distributed systems
- Database architecture
- Caching
- Message queues / Event-driven architecture
- Authentication and security
- Third-party integrations
- Cloud architecture
- Scalability, reliability, and performance
- Robust experience making architectural and technology decisions for large-scale applications.
