Role Description The Commis Chef at CocoCart&Cafe; is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves assisting senior kitchen staff with daily food preparation, cooking café menu items, and supporting chocolate-based dessert creation. The Commis Chef will follow standardized recipes, maintain mise en place, and help with plating and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Responsibilities include adhering to hygiene and safety standards, organizing storage areas,



monitoring ingredient freshness, and keeping workstations clean. The role also requires effective communication with the kitchen and service teams to support smooth operations and timely service.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Food Preparation and basic Cooking techniques.
- Solid Culinary Skills, including handling ingredients, basic baking or dessert preparation, and plating.
- Commitment to Hygiene and food safety standards, including cleanliness and proper storage practices.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with kitchen team members and front-of-house staff.
- Prior experience in a café, bakery, or restaurant kitchen is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of chocolate handling, desserts, or confectionery is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak seasons.
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
