About the Role

Plans and designs manufacturing processes for a production facility. Analyzes assembly, fabrication, machining, and other processes. Maximizes efficiency by optimization of layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure manufacturability of engineering designs and engineering changes

2. Conduct time and method studies establishing time standards for manufacturing operations.

3. Support internal and external teams during the concept development process for the industrialization

of customer projects

4. Identify, qualify and develop new equipment suppliers. Build relationships to ensure thorough

understanding and consistent execution of standards

5.



Maintain and ensure supplier compliance to equipment standards by creating technical specifications

and efficient project management through timely design reviews, validation and installation.

6. Provide equipment cost estimating for recent program customer RFQ's

7. Develop standards for plant layouts, work instructions, process flow layout, set-up procedures while

adhering to safety, quality and productivity procedures and policies.

8. Conduct line balancing studies, process simulations and material flow studies to achieve optimum

balance between man and machine

9. Develop and manage process FMEA's and other process documentation across all global locations.

10. Ensure global compliance with IATF16949 and other quality, environmental, manufacturing and

customer standard requirements.

11. Perform other duties as assigned.

12.Will be looking after global manufacturing role from offshore

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

1. Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.

2. 2+ years of work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or integrator shop.

3. Metals processing experience such as welding, riveting, stamping, assembly and fastening

4. Automotive seating structures experience preferred.
