With a longstanding presence in the region, the hospital is committed to quality healthcare, timely emergency support, accessible medical services, and patient-focused care. It provides healthcare professionals and support staff with a stable, mission-driven work environment where team members contribute to improving community health while supporting the hospital's continued growth and reputation.
Role Description
We are looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist who can take hands-on ownership of the hospital's social media presence and help build a strong, credible, and engaging digital brand.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, creating, publishing, managing, and optimising content across the hospital's social media platforms.
The role will involve developing social media campaigns and content including images, carousels, Reels, short-form videos, Stories, educational content, and other platform-specific formats.
The candidate will work closely with doctors, medical departments, administration, and internal teams to create accurate, useful, and audience-friendly healthcare content.
The selected person will have primary responsibility for the hospital's social media activities and will also handle social media responsibilities for the group's educational institutions/accounts on a partial basis.
The role also involves supporting broader digital marketing initiatives, maintaining brand consistency, monitoring performance, engaging with audiences, and staying updated with relevant social media trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar aligned with hospital services, healthcare awareness, campaigns, events, patient education, and brand objectives.
- Develop content around key content pillars including health awareness, doctor expertise, treatments and procedures, hospital facilities, patient education, achievements, events, and community initiatives.
- Take ownership of the complete social media workflow — ideation, planning, coordination, content creation, publishing, monitoring, and optimisation.
- Create and coordinate Reels, short-form videos, Stories, static creatives, carousels, educational posts, and other platform-specific content.
- Work closely with doctors, medical departments, administration, and internal teams to collect information and convert it into accurate, simple, and audience-friendly content.
- Ensure healthcare content is communicated responsibly while maintaining medical accuracy, patient privacy,
professional standards, and the hospital's reputation.
- Manage the hospital's presence across relevant platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other relevant digital channels.
- Monitor comments, messages, reviews, and audience interactions and ensure timely, professional, and appropriate responses.
- Track social media performance including reach, engagement, follower growth, video views/watch time, enquiries/leads, and content-wise performance.
- Analyse content performance and continuously test, optimise, and improve content formats, topics, hooks, captions, and publishing strategies.
- Stay updated with emerging social media formats, platform changes, audience behaviour, and relevant healthcare communication trends.
- Identify and adapt relevant trends appropriately for a healthcare brand without compromising professionalism, credibility, or brand reputation.
- Maintain consistent brand identity, tone of voice, visual communication, and messaging across social media channels.
- Support social media campaigns for hospital departments, health awareness initiatives, events, services, special campaigns, and important healthcare days.
- Coordinate with the digital marketing team on campaigns supporting lead generation, appointments, awareness, admissions, and other marketing objectives.
- Support the social media presence of the group's educational institutions/accounts on a partial basis, as assigned.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that required content, photographs, videos, approvals, and information are collected and published on time.
