Candidate should be comfortable working across AEM, Java, HTML/CSS/Java Script, API integrations, and production-quality web delivery.

Key responsibilities (IMPORTANT)

Develop, configure, and maintain AEM Sites solutions, including reusable components, editable templates, dialogs, content policies, Experience Fragments, Content Fragments, and workflows.

Build responsive, accessible, SEO-friendly, and high-performing website pages using HTL, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and Java Script/Type Script.

Develop backend AEM functionality using Java, Sling Models, OSGi services, servlets, schedulers, and JCR repository concepts.

Support content authors by creating easy-to-use authoring experiences, validation rules, content models, asset-management processes, and publishing workflows.

Integrate the website with external systems through REST or GraphQL APIs, including product/menu catalog, store locator, store availability, pricing, promotions, cart, checkout, loyalty, payment, delivery, POS, and order-management services.

Design and implement secure customer journeys for store selection, product selection, cart management, checkout, order confirmation, and order-status tracking.

Ensure safe handling of customer and payment-related data by using approved authentication, authorization, tokenization, and payment-provider integration patterns.

Optimize site performance through caching, AEM Dispatcher/CDN configuration, image optimization, lazy loading, Java Script optimization, and Core Web Vitals improvements.

Implement accessible user interfaces that meet applicable WCAG accessibility expectations, including keyboard support, semantic markup, form labels, focus management, and screen-reader compatibility.

Apply SEO best practices, including metadata, canonical URLs, structured data, sitemap support, robots directives, and optimized page-rendering behavior.

Participate in technical design, architecture reviews, estimation, sprint planning, code reviews,



and production-release activities.

Create unit tests, integration tests, and automated UI/API tests in collaboration with QA.

Troubleshoot production issues involving AEM publishing, rendering, caching, API failures, content defects, and e-commerce/order-processing flows.

Maintain technical documentation for components, integrations, deployment procedures, configuration, and support runbooks.

Required technical skills (IMPORTANT)

Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager, particularly AEM Sites.

Experience developing AEM Components, Editable Templates, dialogs, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, Content Policies, and workflows.

Strong Java development skills.

Hands-on knowledge of HTL/Sightly, Sling Models, OSGi, Apache Sling, JCR, AEM servlets, and AEM event/scheduler patterns.

Strong HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Java Script, and/or Type Script skills.

Experience building responsive, mobile-first websites that work across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Experience with REST APIs, JSON payloads, API authentication, error handling, retries, timeouts, and API observability.

Experience integrating web applications with third-party platforms or enterprise services.

Good understanding of web security practices, including OWASP principles, authentication, authorization, secure session handling, and protection of sensitive customer data.

Knowledge of website performance optimization, browser rendering, caching, CDN concepts, image optimization, lazy loading, and Core Web Vitals.





Knowledge of web accessibility standards and implementation practices, preferably WCAG 2.1 or later.

Knowledge of technical SEO, including metadata, semantic HTML, structured data, canonical URLs, redirects, and sitemap concepts.

Experience using Git, pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience working in Agile delivery teams using Jira or equivalent work-management tools.

Preferred skills

Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and Adobe Cloud Manager.

Experience with AEM Dispatcher configuration, Apache/CDN caching, cache invalidation, and publish-environment troubleshooting.

Experience with headless AEM, GraphQL, Content Fragments, and frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue.

Experience with e-commerce, online ordering, retail, restaurant, food-service, franchise, or customer loyalty platforms.

Experience integrating payment providers, digital wallets, order-management systems, POS systems, delivery platforms, or store-location services.

Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager, or other analytics/tag-management tools.

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, application monitoring, centralized logging, and production support.

Knowledge of automated testing practices, including unit tests, API tests, UI automation, accessibility testing, and performance testing.

Minimum experience

5+ years of professional web application development experience.

3+ years of hands-on AEM development experience.

2+ years of Java backend development experience.

2+ years of front-end development using HTML, CSS, and Java Script/Type Script.

Demonstrated experience delivering and supporting customer-facing, high-availability web applications.

Experience working with API-driven integrations in a production workplace.
