ContractAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced SAP IS-U FICA (Industry Solution for Utilities – Financial Contract Accounting) Consultant to support and enhance billing, invoicing, and financial accounting processes for our energy/utilities operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise in FICA along with strong exposure to the plant/energy business workplace (power generation, distribution, or utilities).Key ResponsibilitiesProvide end-to-end functional support for SAP IS-U FICA module, including configuration, enhancement, and production supportManage integration between IS-U FICA and other SAP modules (IS-U Billing, Device Management, Sales & Distribution, and FI/CO)Handle master data objects such as contract accounts, business partners, and FICA documentsConfigure and support dunning, payment processing, clarification processing, returns/reversals, and interest calculationSupport period-end and year-end closing activities related to FICAWork on incoming/outgoing payment processing, payment lots, and bank statement processingManage invoicing, budget billing, and account maintenance processes specific to utility/energy billing cyclesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Billing, Device Management, MDM, FI) to resolve integration issuesAnalyze and resolve production incidents, and provide root-cause analysis for recurring issuesPrepare functional specifications for custom developments (BAPIs, user exits, enhancements) and coordinate with ABAP teamsSupport regulatory and statutory reporting requirements relevant to the energy/utility sectorParticipate in testing cycles (unit, integration,



UAT) for enhancements, patches, and upgradesDocument processes, configurations, and provide knowledge transfer to junior team membersEnsure SLA adherence in an offshore delivery model, coordinating effectively with onshore stakeholdersRequired Skills & Experience10+ years of overall SAP experience, with at least 6–8 years in SAP IS-U FICAPrior experience working in a plant, power generation, or energy/utility company environment (highly preferred)Strong hands-on configuration experience in FICA: account determination, dunning, interest calculation, payment run, clarification processingGood understanding of IS-U Billing and Device Management (EDM) processes and their integration with FICAExperience with FI-CA to FI-GL integration and reconciliationWorking knowledge of mass activities, background job scheduling, and performance tuning in FICAExposure to regulatory billing requirements (e.g., tariff structures, meter-to-cash cycle) in the energy sectorExperience in incident/problem management tools (ServiceNow, Solution Manager, etc.)Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skills to work effectively with onshore/offshore teamsITIL process awareness for support engagementsPreferred/Good to HaveExposure to S/4HANA Utilities (C4U) or SAP Convergent Invoicing/ChargingKnowledge of SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management)Experience with regulatory reporting for power/energy utilitiesSAP certification in IS-U or FICAExperience working with global energy/utility clientsSoft SkillsStrong stakeholder management and offshore-onshore coordination experienceAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong documentation and presentation skills
