The Opportunity

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join Elchemy's growing sourcing team. This is a high-ownership, target-driven role focused on building strong supplier relationships and securing the right materials at the right price, on time.

You will be responsible for identifying potential suppliers, reaching out to manufacturers, understanding their capabilities, evaluating quotes, and working towards building a reliable supply base for our customers.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sourcing, talking to suppliers, negotiating, and working in a rapid-paced setting. You will get hands-on exposure to B2B procurement, specialty chemicals, supply chain, and global trade while working closely with experienced sales, sourcing, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Source specialty chemicals and raw materials for Elchemy's global customers, focusing on the personal care and home care industry.
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into supplier needs by learning about products, applications, specifications, volumes, and pricing, and taking requirements from initial enquiry to supplier selection, negotiation, and purchase order.
- Find and reach out to new suppliers through email, phone, Linked In, industry databases, trade shows, and other channels. Research manufacturers, find the right contacts, and build a steady pipeline of qualified suppliers across geographies.
- Build strong supplier and internal relationships and work closely with sales, quality, logistics, and operations teams to ensure orders are placed accurately and fulfilled on time.
- Manage supplier evaluation and onboarding by checking capabilities, certifications, documentation, availability, and pricing,



getting competitive quotes, and working with suppliers to meet customer requirements.
- Meet procurement targets and maintain discipline by keeping the ERP/CRM updated, following up regularly, and delivering against targets for cost savings, gross margin, supplier onboarding, and on-time delivery. Continuously learn about chemicals, suppliers, customers, and markets.

What We're Looking For

- Experience: 5+ years of experience in chemical/ingredient procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a similar supplier-facing role.
- Negotiation mindset: Strong ability to negotiate on price, terms, and timelines, comfortable pushing back and persistent with follow-ups.
- Ownership: Someone who takes responsibility for outcomes, not just activities, and is comfortable working towards clear targets.
- Learning agility: Curiosity and willingness to develop an understanding of specialty chemicals, applications, and international supply markets.
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable working with ERP/CRM systems, Linked In, sourcing platforms, and data to improve procurement effectiveness.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory for candidates with strong procurement experience.
