Responsibilities

- Research and develop machine learning models for perception and understanding across visual, audio, and other real-world signals.
- Explore production systems combining specialized models with larger general-purpose models.
- Design data, training, and evaluation approaches for real-world operating conditions.
- Analyze model behavior, robustness, and failure modes across data, deployment, and operating conditions.
- Integrate and validate capabilities in real-time or resource-constrained systems.
- Partner with firmware, platform, and product teams to turn research into working systems.
- Own work end to end across models, edge systems, cloud infrastructure, pipelines, and production troubleshooting.

Requirements

- Understand deep-learning fundamentals, including architectures, training dynamics, evaluation design, data quality, and annotation.
- Think in systems, including latency and memory budgets, failure modes, distributed pipelines, and on-device constraints.
- Have hands-on experience with agentic development tools and AI-assisted coding as a core part of building and shipping.




- Be proficient in Python and PyTorch, with working ability in at least one systems language such as C++ or Go.
- Solid candidates may have experience building LLM or agent-based applications with tool use, retrieval, and evaluation of non-deterministic systems.
- Strong candidates may have experience with on-device or embedded ML using SNPE, TensorRT, TFLite, ONNX Runtime, or similar tools.
- Strong candidates may have experience with video understanding, VLM or embedding models, large-scale retrieval, large-scale video or telemetry data, annotation pipelines, observability tooling, distributed training, or experimentation frameworks.
