JOB DESCRIPTION – QUALITY HEAD

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Quality Head to lead the complete Quality Assurance and Quality Control function of the plant.

The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust quality systems, ensuring product and process compliance, reducing defects and customer complaints, driving continuous improvement, and developing a solid quality culture across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management

- Lead the overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control function across the plant.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality systems, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable customer specifications, drawings, standards, and statutory requirements.
- Establish effective incoming, in-process, and final inspection systems.
- Monitor critical quality parameters and ensure adherence to defined process standards.
- Review quality performance and initiate corrective and preventive actions.

Customer Quality

- Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality-related matters.
- Manage customer complaints, rejections, warranty issues, and quality concerns.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action activities using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and CAPA.
- Ensure timely submission and closure of customer complaints and corrective action reports.
- Monitor customer-specific requirements and ensure effective implementation.

Process & Product Quality

- Establish robust process control plans, inspection standards, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Drive reduction in rejection, rework,



scrap, and process variation.
- Ensure proper implementation of PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, wherever applicable.
- Monitor process capability and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure proper calibration and control of measuring instruments and gauges.

Supplier Quality

- Coordinate with suppliers on incoming quality issues and corrective actions.
- Support supplier evaluation, development, audits, and improvement programs.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and ensure timely closure of supplier-related issues.
- Work closely with Purchase and Stores teams to ensure quality of incoming materials.

Quality Systems & Audits

- Lead implementation and maintenance of applicable ISO/IATF quality management systems.
- Plan and conduct internal process, product, and system audits.
- Coordinate customer, certification, and third-party audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and non-conformities.
- Maintain required quality documentation and records.

Continuous Improvement

- Drive Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and defect-prevention initiatives.
- Identify recurring quality issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Develop quality improvement projects focused on PPM reduction, cost of poor quality, rejection, and customer satisfaction.
- Promote a preventive rather than reactive approach to quality.

Team Management

- Lead and develop the Quality team, including Quality Managers, Engineers, Inspectors, and Technicians.
- Define responsibilities, targets, and KPIs for the Quality function.
- Conduct training programs on quality standards, inspection methods, problem-solving tools, and customer requirements.
- Build strong quality awareness and ownership across Production and other departments.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
