General Manager

Position: General Manager – Facility Head
Department: Operations / Plant Management
Reports To: Managing Director / Director / Senior Gen Manager
Location: Mysuru, Karnataka
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: 10–20 years, preferably with 5+ years in a senior FMCG plant/facility leadership role

Role Purpose

The General Manager will have overall responsibility for the complete operation, performance, profitability, compliance, safety, people, infrastructure, and continuous improvement of the facility.

The role will provide leadership across Production/Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Stores & Procurement coordination, Administration, Security, Utilities, and other support functions to ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.

The GM will act as the single-point operational leader for the entire facility, converting the company's business objectives into measurable operational results.

The General Manager will have appropriate authority,



within approved company policies and budgets, to:

- Allocate manpower and operational resources.
- Coordinate and direct department heads.
- Stop unsafe or non-compliant operations.
- Escalate major quality, safety, production, or compliance risks.
- Approve routine operational expenditures within delegated authority.
- Recommend capital expenditure and manpower requirements.
- Initiate corrective actions for performance gaps.
- Recommend disciplinary and performance-management actions.
- Engage with vendors, contractors, auditors, authorities, and other external stakeholders as authorized.

Preferred Industry Experience

- Experience in handling a social enterprise in rural India.
