Job Description: Junior Project Manager – Classes 6–8 & Lab Manuals (Classes 9–12)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized Junior Project Manager to oversee the development and production of educational content for Classes 6–8 and Lab Manuals for Classes 9–12.
In this role, you will act as the central project anchor, coordinating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), DTP operators, content creators, editors, proofreaders, freelancers, and external vendors. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end project timelines, coordinating resources, ensuring curriculum alignment, and enforcing rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) standards to ensure the delivery of accurate, error-free, and high-quality educational content.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination & Workflow Management
- Timeline Management: Plan, track, and manage content development schedules for Classes 6–8 and Lab Manuals for Classes 9–12, from the initial concept to the final print-ready or digital file.
- Task Allocation: Assign daily targets and project specifications to in-house teams, content creators, freelancers, and external vendors.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project progress and ensure the timely completion of deliverables.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential bottlenecks in the content development, review, and production cycles and implement corrective measures to prevent delays in printing or deployment.
2. SME, Freelancer & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), authors, editors, proofreaders, and reviewers.
- Source and onboard suitable freelancers and external resources as per project requirements.
- Manage communication and workflow between SMEs,
content teams, DTP operators, and external vendors.
- Ensure all stakeholders are aligned with project timelines, content requirements, and quality standards.
3. Lab Manual Content & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate the development of Lab Manuals for Classes 9–12 as per the relevant curriculum and academic requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy and clarity of practical content, experiments, procedures, observations, diagrams, and related academic information.
- Coordinate with SMEs and content creators for the development and review of lab-based content.
- Work closely with DTP operators to ensure the proper placement and accuracy of diagrams, tables, illustrations, labels, and other technical elements.
- Ensure consistency in formatting, presentation, and technical specifications across the complete Lab Manual.
4. Rigorous Quality Checks (QC) & Quality Assurance (QA)
Perform comprehensive quality checks across all stages of content development, including:
- Manuscript-level review
- Editing and proofreading
- First DTP proof checks
- Style sheet verification
- Content comparison
- Page-proof review
- Final PDF and binder-proof verification
Additional responsibilities include:
- Identify and eliminate grammatical errors, factual inaccuracies, conceptual gaps, formatting inconsistencies, and technical errors.
- Establish and enforce comprehensive QC checklists for editorial and technical teams.
- Ensure all content meets defined quality standards before proceeding to the printing or final production stage.
- Analyse recurring errors and implement corrective measures to prevent their repetition.
- Support and guide team members to improve quality standards and reduce recurring mistakes.
Technical Proficiencies
- Solid command of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and other project tracking tools.
- Familiarity with project management and workflow tracking systems.
- Understanding of DTP workflows, typesetting guidelines, and publishing processes.
- Ability to use PDF annotation and markup tools for detailed review and feedback.
- Knowledge of the NCERT/CBSE curriculum for Classes 6–8 and academic requirements for Classes 9–12 Lab Manuals will be an advantage.

- Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively coordinate with SMEs, freelancers, authors, editors, DTP teams, and external vendors.

- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
