We develop and support digital platforms, technology-enabled solutions, and data-driven applications across diverse sectors. We are looking for a Frontend-Focused Full Stack Developer who can build intuitive, responsive, and high-quality user interfaces while possessing sufficient backend expertise to integrate APIs, troubleshoot systems, and contribute to end-to-end product development.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Full Stack Developer (Frontend-Focused) with a minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in frontend development, particularly React.js, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, along with practical knowledge of Node.js, API integration, databases, and backend systems.

The candidate should be able to work independently on assigned tasks, develop programming logic without relying on AI tools to solve core coding problems, and collaborate with backend developers, product teams, and other stakeholders. The ability to communicate proactively, document work, manage tasks, and take ownership of deliverables is essential.

The role provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of digital products and platforms across financial services, livelihoods, agriculture, and other development-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities1. Frontend Development (Primary Responsibility)

- Design and develop responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance web applications.
- Build reusable frontend components using React.js, Next.js, or relevant frontend frameworks.
- Implement functional and intuitive user interfaces based on business requirements, designs, and product specifications.
- Develop responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Manage application state, forms, navigation, validation, and frontend workflows.
- Optimize frontend performance, usability, and accessibility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend bugs, UI issues, and performance problems.
- Ensure consistency in design implementation and user experience across applications.

2. API Integration & Backend Collaboration

- Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and other backend services.
- Work closely with backend developers to understand API structures, data models, and integration requirements.
- Handle API responses, loading states, errors, and user feedback appropriately.
- Develop basic backend functionality using Node.js and relevant frameworks when required.
- Understand authentication, authorization,



sessions, and secure API consumption.
- Assist in debugging integration issues across frontend and backend systems.
- Contribute to end-to-end feature development and testing.

3. Programming & Technical Problem Solving

- Write clean, structured, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Develop programming logic independently and solve problems using sound programming fundamentals.
- Demonstrate the ability to write code without depending on AI tools for core programming logic or technical assessments.
- Debug existing code and identify the root causes of technical issues.
- Understand existing codebases and implement new features or improvements.
- Learn and adopt current technologies, frameworks, and development practices as required.

4. Product & Application Development

- Translate business requirements and UI/UX designs into functional applications.
- Participate in product discussions, technical planning, and feature prioritization.
- Build dashboards, forms, workflows, data visualizations, and other application interfaces.
- Contribute to digital platforms related to financial inclusion, financial technology, livelihoods, agriculture, and development programs.
- Work with APIs, databases, and external services to implement complete product features.
- Support testing, deployment, and maintenance of developed applications.

5. Project Management & Task Ownership

- Take ownership of assigned development tasks and deliverables.
- Break requirements into manageable development activities.
- Estimate task timelines and communicate progress regularly.
- Track pending tasks, dependencies, and technical challenges.
- Identify potential delays and communicate them proactively.
- Coordinate with backend developers, designers, and project teams.
- Support timely delivery of projects while maintaining code quality.

6. Documentation & Communication

- Maintain clear documentation of frontend components, application workflows, and integrations.
- Document setup instructions, configuration requirements, and technical processes.
- Maintain task updates, issue logs, and project progress reports.
- Communicate technical issues and dependencies proactively.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and team discussions.
- Support effective handover and continuity of development work.

7. Team Collaboration





- Work independently on assigned modules while collaborating with the wider technology team.
- Coordinate with backend developers and other team members to deliver integrated features.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and shared development standards.
- Support junior developers or interns with frontend development guidance when required.
- Take increased ownership of modules and development responsibilities as experience grows.

Required Skills & Technical ExpertiseFrontend Development (Core Requirement)

- Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
- Familiarity with Next.js or other modern frontend frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and component-based development.
- Experience with frontend state management, forms, validation, and routing.

Backend & Node.js

- Working knowledge of Node.js and Express.js or equivalent frameworks.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and frontend-backend integration.
- Ability to read, understand, and modify backend code.
- Familiarity with API authentication, error handling, and basic backend debugging.
- Python knowledge is an advantage.

Database & Data Handling

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or equivalent.
- Understanding of API data structures, JSON, and database-driven applications.

Development Tools & Practices

- Git and GitHub/GitLab.
- Familiarity with npm, package management, and modern frontend build tools.
- Understanding of debugging, testing, and browser developer tools.
- Familiarity with Linux, deployment, and cloud platforms is an advantage.

UI/UX & Design Implementation

- Ability to convert UI/UX designs into responsive frontend applications.
- Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools.
- Understanding of usability, accessibility, and consistent design systems.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS, Material UI, Bootstrap, or equivalent is desirable.
