Demos Project is a political strategy and operations firm working across public policy, grassroots campaigns, and digital transformation. We combine strategic thinking with on- ground execution to create meaningful and lasting impact.

As we expand our operations in Bengaluru, we’re building a dynamic team to drive an exciting new project. You’ll work closely with the Demos leadership, take ownership of key responsibilities, and gain hands on experience at the intersection of strategy, politics, policy, and people.

Role Overview

The Graphic Designer will be a key visual contributor in a fast paced, high volume digital campaign- designing, refining, and adapting creative assets across platforms while keeping messaging transparent and visually consistent.

Beyond core design craft, the role calls for comfort working at speed, an eye for what makes content land with Kannadiga audience, and an appetite for newer tools, including AI-assisted design workflows, that keep output fast without sacrificing quality.

Core Responsibilities
1. Design Execution & Conceptualisation

- Design high-quality static content - posters, carousels, digital flyers, infographics, thumbnails, event graphics, and other visual storytelling formats.
- Convert briefs, themes, and scripts into transparent, engaging visuals.
- Adapt designs across content series, campaign types, and audience segments.
- Incorporate regional visual cues, typography, and symbolic elements where relevant.

2. Visual Branding & Template Systems

- Build and maintain a visual template system for recurring content series.
- Follow and help refine style guides - fonts, color schemes, layout grids, iconography,



and campaign identity.
- Ensure consistency and branding across all creative assets.

3. Team Coordination & Quality Support

- Review designs for visual accuracy, brand alignment, and content sensitivity.
- Work with the Creative Lead to manage the workflow calendar and meet deadlines without compromising quality.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with copywriters, video editors, social media managers, and the ads team to align design with broader campaign goals.
- Join daily briefings to stay aligned on messaging direction.
- Use platform insights and performance data to refine creative choices.

5. Platform-Specific Design

- Create assets optimised for Instagram and Facebook (carousels, quote posters, Kannada language visuals).
- Design YouTube thumbnails, banners, and channel art.
- Build text visuals, issue cards, and one-liners for X (Twitter).
- Ensure every creative meet platform specs and content flow standards.

6. Regional & Cultural Sensitivity

- Design creatives that reflect tone, regional sentiment, and cultural nuances of Karnataka.
- Create quick visual responses to events, developments, or trends.
- Maintain narrative and ethical discipline while designing campaign materials.Required Qualifications & Skills Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Visual Communication,



Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.

7. Experience

- Fresher to 2 years of experience in a campaign, branding agency, newsroom, or fast pacedmedia environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating multi-platform content design is essential.

8. Technical Proficiency

- Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Familiarity with InDesign, Canva, and Figma for templated or cooperative design work.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted design tools (Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or similar) to speed up ideation and production.
- Experience with Kannada text placement and bilingual layouts.
- Basic motion or animation design exposure (After Effects or similar) is a plus, not mandatory.

9. Creative & Soft Skills

- Strong visual storytelling, attention to detail, and layout discipline.
- Ability to think quickly and creatively under pressure.
- Good communication and comfort working in a feedback driven, collaborative setting.

10. Work Environment & Expectations

- Willingness to work extended hours or weekends during high activity campaign phases.
- Comfortable handling sensitive material with complete confidentiality.
