Job Description:
Food microbiological testing; aseptic sampling and handling; media preparation and sterilisation; environmental monitoring; operation of microbiology equipment; GLP, biosafety, documentation and MS Excel.
- Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, finished products and water using approved methods.
- Conduct personnel, surface and environmental hygiene monitoring as per the sampling plan.
- Prepare media; verify media performance and sterilisation; maintain cultures and laboratory controls safely.
- Record and trend results; promptly escalate unsatisfactory findings and support investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain equipment checks, sample traceability, laboratory hygiene and secure decontamination and disposal of microbiological waste.
