- A Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as an elective or main subject for all three years (or at least 2–3 years depending on the board), with a minimum aggregate of 45% to 50% marks.
- Alternative: A Bachelor’s degree in Hindi (Honours) or an equivalent oriental degree in Hindi from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. Degree: A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent teaching degree from a recognized institution/university.
