Overview:

The Senior GIS Platform Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing enterprise geospatial platforms built on Esri technologies, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, highly available, and performant across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role focuses on the administration and support of key ArcGIS products, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), ArcGIS Velocity, Utility Network, ArcGIS Image Server, and ArcGIS Monitor, while maintaining strong alignment between GIS operations and enterprise IT objectives.

This position leads critical platform initiatives such as installations, upgrades, migrations, transformations, and modernization programs. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and customers,



the analyst ensures robust platform architecture, security, and operational excellence while enabling reliable, business-critical GIS workflows and supporting the organization's long-term geospatial strategy.

Responsibilities:

- - Install, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise environments across cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Lead ArcGIS upgrades, migrations, deployments, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Administer ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, Portal, AGOL, Velocity, Utility Network, Image Server, and Monitor.
- Design and support High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), Active-Active, and Active-Passive architectures.
- Implement security hardening, performance monitoring, and platform optimization.
- Troubleshoot complex GIS platform, infrastructure, networking, and security issues.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to design and optimize GIS solutions and workflows.
- Develop automation using Python, ArcPy, and ArcGIS REST APIs.
- Create technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
- Provide technical guidance and stay current with Esri platform advancements.

Qualifications:

- - Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in GIS platform administration and enterprise support.
- Strong expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Online.
- Proven experience with ArcGIS installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations.
- Hands-on experience delivering HA/DR, Active-Active,



or Active-Passive implementations.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, virtualization, and enterprise security.
- Experience with security hardening and platform performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Python, ArcPy, and ArcGIS REST APIs.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Esri technical certifications.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud automation.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience in utility, telecom, transportation, or government GIS environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
