We are looking for an experienced Senior Refrigeration Technician with strong hands-on experience in transport refrigeration units (TRUs) and truck-mounted refrigeration systems.

About the Role

As a Senior Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, assembly, testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of vehicle refrigeration systems. The role requires strong practical knowledge of refrigeration systems and hands-on expertise in brazing, refrigerant charging, nitrogen leak testing, and system commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Install and assemble truck/vehicle refrigeration units and refrigeration components.
- Fabricate, bend, flare, and route copper refrigerant piping as per system layout.
- Perform brazing of copper refrigeration lines.
- Carry out nitrogen pressure and leak testing of refrigeration systems.
- Perform system vacuuming and refrigerant gas charging as per specifications.
- Install compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, piping, insulation, and other refrigeration components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system faults and performance issues.
- Repair, replace, and service defective refrigeration components.
- Conduct system testing and commissioning after installation or repair.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including checking refrigerant levels, compressor oil, connections, and heat exchangers.




- Read and understand refrigeration schematics, piping layouts, and engineering drawings.
- Maintain accurate installation, service, testing, and maintenance records.
- Follow safety procedures while handling refrigerants, nitrogen, tools, and equipment.
- Work closely with the engineering and production teams during prototype builds and product development.

What We're Looking For

- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience specifically in transport refrigeration / truck refrigeration units.
- Strong practical experience with truck-mounted or vehicle refrigeration systems.
- Hands-on expertise in brazing, copper pipe bending, flaring, and refrigerant piping.
- Good knowledge of vacuuming, refrigerant charging, nitrogen leak testing, and refrigeration system troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion devices, fans, valves, and related components.
- Ability to read and understand refrigeration schematics and piping layouts.
- Good workmanship, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
- Willingness to work in a hands-on, rapid-paced startup environment.
- Experience taking refrigeration products from prototype/build stage to production will be an added advantage.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates with strong relevant hands-on experience in transport refrigeration may also be considered.
