UI Architect – Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced UI Architect to design and lead the architecture of modern, scalable, high-performance web applications. The candidate will work closely with product managers, UX designers, backend architects, and engineering teams to define UI architecture, technical standards, and development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own the frontend/UI architecture for enterprise-scale applications.
- Design scalable, maintainable, reusable and high-performance UI solutions.
- Lead development using up-to-date frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js.
- Define frontend architecture patterns, component structures, state management and application design.
- Establish and maintain UI design systems, reusable component libraries and coding standards.
- Translate UX/UI designs into robust and responsive technical solutions.
- Ensure applications meet performance, accessibility, security and cross-browser compatibility standards.
- Define integration patterns between frontend applications and REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices.
- Guide teams on frontend best practices, design patterns, code quality and technical debt reduction.
- Evaluate new frontend technologies, tools and frameworks and drive appropriate adoption.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD,



automated testing and deployment practices for UI applications.
- Mentor senior developers and engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Conduct architecture reviews, design reviews and code reviews.
- Identify and resolve complex technical and performance issues.
- Ensure UI architecture aligns with enterprise architecture, cloud and security standards.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong experience in React / Angular / Vue.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and modern browser technologies.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with micro-frontends, component-driven architecture and design systems.
- Experience with state management frameworks such as Redux, Zustand, NgRx or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL and frontend-backend integration.
- Experience with Webpack, Vite or equivalent build technologies.
- Strong understanding of UI performance optimization.
- Experience with automated testing using Jest, Cypress, Playwright or similar tools.
- Understanding of OAuth/OIDC, JWT and frontend security practices.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD and cloud-based application deployment.
- Good understanding of AWS/Azure/GCP and cloud-native application architecture is preferred.
