JOB DESCRIPTION – BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER

Department: Biomedical Engineering
Reports To: Administration / Engineering Head
Experience: 2–5 Years in Hospital Biomedical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all biomedical and medical equipment of the hospital.
- Maintain equipment inventory, asset tagging and department-wise records.
- Plan and ensure timely Preventive Maintenance (PM) of all equipment.
- Attend and document breakdowns, repairs and equipment downtime.
- Ensure timely calibration and maintain calibration certificates.
- Manage AMC/CMC, warranty and vendor coordination.
- Ensure safety and functional readiness of critical/emergency equipment.
- Coordinate installation, commissioning and user training for recent equipment.
- Maintain complete biomedical documentation and service records.
- Ensure equipment is properly identified, functional, safe and available for patient care.




- Participate in equipment-related incident investigation, RCA and CAPA.
- Maintain biomedical records and evidence required for NABH assessment/audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable NABH, AERB, medical device and safety requirements.
- Monitor KPIs such as PM compliance, calibration compliance, equipment availability and downtime.

Required Qualification & Skills

- B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
- 2–5 years relevant hospital experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment, PM, calibration and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of NABH biomedical equipment requirements and documentation.
- Good communication, documentation and vendor-management skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
