Job Summary

Lab IQ is looking for a proactive and organized Logistics Manager to oversee sample collection logistics and inter-branch sample transportation across its diagnostic laboratory network.

The candidate will be responsible for managing sample collection executives, optimizing pickup routes, coordinating sample movement between branches and the central reference laboratory, managing staff rosters, and ensuring timely and efficient transportation of diagnostic samples while maintaining sample integrity and turnaround time (TAT) commitments.

Key Responsibilities1. Sample Collection & Logistics Management

- Manage and coordinate daily sample pickups from hospitals, diagnostic centers, clinics, and other B2B clients.
- Supervise sample collection executives and ensure timely completion of assigned pickups.
- Plan and optimize sample collection routes to improve operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
- Monitor pickup schedules, delays, missed collections, and service-level compliance.
- Coordinate urgent and priority sample movements to ensure timely processing.

2. Inter-Branch Sample Transportation

- Coordinate sample movement between branches, collection centers, and the central reference laboratory.
- Establish efficient transportation schedules and ensure timely dispatch and receipt of samples.
- Monitor sample tracking, handover documentation, and transportation records.
- Ensure compliance with sample handling, packaging, storage, and transportation requirements.
- Coordinate with laboratory teams to minimize delays and prevent sample loss or deterioration.

3. Team & Roster Management





- Manage sample collection executives, riders, and logistics personnel.
- Prepare daily and weekly staff rosters based on operational requirements.
- Allocate routes, assignments, and responsibilities to field personnel.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity, and field performance.
- Coordinate travel allowance (TA) claims, follow-ups, and related staff requirements with the accounts and HR teams.
- Identify staffing gaps and arrange backup resources to ensure uninterrupted operations.

4. Operational Monitoring & Reporting

- Track daily sample pickups, transportation schedules, and branch-wise logistics performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as pickup compliance, transportation TAT, cost per pickup, and executive productivity.
- Prepare daily and periodic logistics performance reports for management.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of sample movements, route allocations, and logistics expenses.

5. Cost Optimization & Process Improvement

- Optimize transportation routes and schedules to reduce fuel consumption and logistics costs.
- Improve resource utilization through effective route planning and workload allocation.
- Develop and implement logistics SOPs, reporting mechanisms, and operational controls.
- Identify opportunities for automation and technology-enabled sample tracking.
- Coordinate with laboratory,



operations, accounts, and client servicing teams to improve service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, or operations management.
- Experience in healthcare, diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, or pharmaceutical logistics will be an advantage.
- Experience managing field teams, route planning, and multi-location operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics tracking or reporting systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.

- On-time sample pickup compliance.
- Inter-branch sample transportation turnaround time.
- Reduction in logistics cost per sample or pickup.
- Sample loss, damage, and transportation-related rejection rates.
- Field staff productivity and route utilization.
- Adherence to staff rosters and pickup schedules.
- Timely resolution of logistics-related complaints.
