Job Title: MEP Billing Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced MEP Billing Engineer to manage client billing, subcontractor billing, quantity verification, RA bills, final bills, measurement records, and billing documentation for MEP projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in MEP quantity measurement and billing, with a good understanding of Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV works. The candidate will coordinate closely with project, commercial, procurement, and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate billing.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit client RA bills, interim bills, and final bills for MEP works.

Prepare and verify subcontractor bills based on actual work completed at site.

Take and verify measurements of completed MEP works.

Prepare detailed measurement sheets and quantity reconciliation statements.

Verify quantities against approved drawings, BOQs, work orders, and site measurements.

Check subcontractor bills and supporting documents before processing.

Coordinate with site engineers and project teams for measurement verification.

Prepare billing documentation as per client and project requirements.

Track certified quantities, billed quantities, executed quantities, and outstanding quantities.

Prepare reconciliation of materials and quantities wherever required.

Identify variations, additional works, and deviations from the original BOQ.

Prepare and submit variation/change-order claims with supporting measurements and documentation.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal commercial teams regarding billing issues.

Follow up on bill certification and resolve billing-related discrepancies.

Maintain records of RA bills, final bills, measurements, work orders, variations, and certifications.

Assist in preparing monthly billing forecasts and project commercial reports.





Ensure bills are submitted accurately and within project timelines.

Support the commercial team during final account settlement and project closure.

MEP Systems Covered

The candidate should have experience in billing/measurement of:

Electrical systems

Plumbing and sanitary systems

Fire Fighting systems

ELV systems

HVAC/Mechanical systems, where applicable

Required Skills & Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience in MEP billing and quantity surveying.

Hands-on experience in client billing and subcontractor billing.

Experience in preparing RA bills and final bills.

Good knowledge of MEP BOQs, measurements, and quantity verification.

Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.

Experience in checking executed quantities against BOQ and approved drawings.

Knowledge of variation, extra-item, and deviation billing.

Good understanding of MEP materials and installation activities.

Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.

Knowledge of billing/quantity surveying software will be an added advantage.

Positive coordination and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure, or similar MEP projects.

Good understanding of MEP site execution and measurement practices.

Ability to coordinate effectively with site teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Ability to manage multiple billing activities and meet monthly billing deadlines.

Key Requirement

The candidate must have 2–5 years of hands-on experience in MEP billing, with expertise in quantity measurement, BOQ verification, client RA billing, final billing, subcontractor billing, quantity reconciliation, and variation billing for Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV works.
