Job Purpose

To oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production, quality, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance, while leading plant staff and driving continuous improvement in productivity and cost control.

Key Result Areas (KRA)

1. Plant Operations Management

- Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Ensure the facility runs efficiently with the highest productivity possible.
- Monitor and test various plant processes for optimum performance.
- Conduct regular inspections across the facility.

2. Production & Quality Oversight

- Oversee all production decisions, including production and quality control-related activities, staffing, scheduling, and materials.
- Work with the production team to improve products and processes.
- Participate in manufacturing-related activities such as quality, productivity, safety, innovation, and supply management.
- Ensure accurate production records and reports.

3. Equipment, Maintenance & Expansion

- Review recommendations for existing and new machinery.
- Participate in plant expansion, equipment planning, and conversion projects.
- Oversee the maintenance of equipment, building premises, plant security, and protection.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance programme.

4. Compliance & Standards

- Ensure compliance with environmental and health regulations.
- Stay up to date with the latest production trends, technology, and best practices.

5. People Management

- Build trustworthy relationships with employees.
- Participate in managing factory staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

6. Reporting & Cost Control

- Prepare and present regular reports on factory performance and scope of improvement.




- Control costs to achieve budgetary goals for the company.

Qualification & Skill Requirements

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree or diploma in Manufacturing/Operations Management is an added advantage.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in manufacturing plant operations, with at least 3-5 years in a plant/factory management or leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, preventive maintenance, and quality control systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and statutory compliance applicable to manufacturing plants.
- Software/Tools: Proficiency in ERP/production management systems, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage staffing and performance, and build strong working relationships with employees.
- Other Skills: Solid analytical, cost-control, and decision-making skills; ability to manage budgets and drive continuous improvement.
- Key Attributes: Hands-on, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing operational efficiency with compliance and people management.

Pay: ₹840,000.00 - ₹1,020,000.00 per year
