Job Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Design to lead the engineering and architectural design for next-generation AI datacenter developments. You will drive core & shell architecture, high-density Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) infrastructure, and advanced cooling technologies to support high-performance computing (HPC) and hyperscale deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership: Lead end-to-end design strategy, standards, and execution for core & shell and MEP systems for ultra-high-density hyperscale data centers.

High-Density Cooling: Architect and deploy state-of-the-art liquid cooling systems (direct-to-chip, rear door heat exchangers, and immersion cooling) for 100 kW to 150 kW+ per rack environments.

Power & MEP Optimization: Oversee high-voltage power distribution, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) topology, generator backup, and effective HVAC systems tailored to AI/GPU workloads.

Hyperscale Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure facilities support GPU-heavy hardware (e.g., NVIDIA H100/B200 clusters) at scale.

Core & Shell Strategy: Direct spatial layout,



structural loads, floor loading capacity, and site planning to accommodate massive power density and heavy liquid cooling infrastructure.

Vendor & Partner Management: Drive technical relationships with hyperscale clients, MEP consultants, liquid cooling manufacturers, and equipment vendors.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 15–20 years in datacenter engineering design, with a proven track record of delivering multiple hyperscale or large-scale datacenters.

Domain Expertise: Deep technical mastery in MEP systems, core & shell specifications, and high-density infrastructure design.

AI/GPU Readiness: Direct experience designing for high-density GPU racks (100 kW to 150 kW+ per rack) and implementing advanced liquid cooling technologies.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering (PE license or Chartered Engineer status preferred).

Skills: Expertise in ASHRAE liquid cooling guidelines, building codes, power density planning, and sustainability metrics (PUE/WUE optimization).
