Job Purpose
To manage the financial operations of the school with accuracy, compliance, and transparency, supporting the academic leadership and governing body in financial planning and reporting for both CBSE and Cambridge streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate bookkeeping and accounting records using Tally/other accounting software for school fee collections, salaries, vendors, and other income‑expenses.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income & Expenditure, Cash Flow) and present them to the management/Principal.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, utility bills, and government/ regulatory dues in a timely manner.
- Oversee payroll processing, including salary, allowances, deductions (PF, ESIC, TDS), and statutory compliance for teaching and non‑teaching staff.
- Ensure correct and timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, and other statutory compliances, including return filing and challan payments.
- Assist in annual budget preparation, expenditure monitoring, and variance analysis for different departments (academics, administration, boarding, transport, etc.).
- Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits, and maintain all supporting documents and vouchers.
- Provide financial reports and dashboards to the Principal/Management to support decision‑making on capex, fee structures, and operational spend.
- Maintain proper fee‑collection and receipt‑management systems, including online and offline modes,
and support the school in fee‑policy implementation.
- Ensure confidentiality and data security of all financial and personal information of staff, students, and parents.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; or equivalent statutory qualification (e.g., CA Inter, CMA Inter, or similar).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in a school, educational institution, or trust/NGO.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP / other accounting software and MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, and ESIC relevant to Indian schools.
- Desirable:
- Experience handling accounts for CBSE and Cambridge‑affiliated schools.
- Familiarity with fee‑management systems, SIS/ERP platforms, or school‑specific software.
- Positive communication skills in English (written and spoken) for coordination with management, auditors, and external agencies.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
