Role Title Senior Engineer — Platform Stability & Reliability Test (PDT)
Experience 5 – 8 years
Primary Location Hyderabad, India (Transition phase); HCLTech Offshore Delivery Center thereafter
Work Model Physical co-location at Hyderabad mandatory during Transition (Month 1–3) for knowledge transfer and hardware/lab access; delivery shifts to HCLTech's Offshore Delivery Center (ODC) from Shadow (Month 4–6) onward.
Role Summary
Execute platform stability and reliability test cycles, reporting to the Pod Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute stability test cycles across the SoC device farm, running assigned use-case combinations.
- Support MTBF measurement and stability-issue triage.
- Execute crash-scenario creation and reproduction under the Pod Lead's direction.
- Maintain test infrastructure and automation for the sustenance program.
Must-Have Skills
- 5–8 years embedded stability/reliability test engineering.
- SoC device-farm design and operation for high-frequency, multi-use-case execution.
- Crash-scenario / fault-injection test design.
- MTBF measurement and statistical reliability analysis.
- Scripting (Python) for stability test automation.
Positive-to-Have Skills
- Hardware-in-the-loop lab automation (LAVA/Labgrid) for device-farm orchestration.
- CI/CD pipeline ownership for embedded targets.
- Certification or compliance test campaign experience.
