- Take complete ownership of store sales and profitability.
- Set and achieve monthly/annual sales targets.
- Monitor daily sales, average bill value, conversion rate, footfall and category-wise performance.
- Identify ways to increase sales and reduce unnecessary costs.
- Be accountable for the store’s overall P&L; performance.
2. Hiring & Team Management
- Recruit sales staff and other store employees.
- Train new employees on products, customer service and selling techniques.
- Set individual targets and KPIs.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews.
- Handle discipline, motivation and staff retention.
3. Inventory & Stock Control
- Take complete responsibility for inventory accuracy.
- Regularly conduct physical stock checks.
- Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving products.
- Identify dead stock, shortages, damages and discrepancies.
- Ensure proper receiving, tagging, storage and display of merchandise.
- Coordinate stock transfers and replenishment.
4. Purchase Orders & Procurement
- Check purchase orders against actual requirements and inventory levels.
- Ensure the right products,
sizes and quantities are being ordered.
- Avoid overstocking and unnecessary purchases.
- Coordinate with suppliers/company representatives regarding orders and shortages.
5. Store Operations
- Ensure the store is properly maintained and visually merchandised.
- Ensure opening/closing procedures are followed.
- Monitor billing, cash handling and daily reconciliation.
- Ensure company policies and SOPs are followed.
- Handle customer complaints and escalations.
6. Customer Experience
- Ensure every customer receives excellent service.
- Train staff in upselling, cross-selling and customer handling.
- Personally handle important/high-value customers when required.
- Track customer complaints and ensure quick resolution.
