About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, visually creative UI/UX Design Intern to join our product and design team in Kozhikode for a 3 to 6-month hands-on internship.

In this role, you will work closely with our developers and design leads to turn complex engineering concepts and hardware telemetry into sleek, user-friendly digital interfaces. If you have an eye for modern UI, love crafting clean layouts, and want to build a standout portfolio with real-world applications, this internship is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

- Wireframing & UI Layouts: Create clean wireframes, user flows, and interactive high-fidelity prototypes for web applications and dashboards.
- Design Systems: Assist in building and maintaining reusable component libraries, UI kits, and typography/color systems using modern design tools (Penpot / Figma).
- Developer Handoff: Prepare pixel-perfect design specifications and assets for our frontend developers (Svelte / React).
- User Experience & Feedback: Test user flows, gather feedback, and iterate on visual designs to improve accessibility and ease of use.
- Visual Graphics: Create supporting graphic assets, icons, and visual elements for digital platforms as needed.

Qualifications

- Experience: Open to freshers, self-taught designers, coding/design bootcamp grads, or final-year students.
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Design, Computer Science, Multimedia, or any relevant field (or equivalent practical design portfolio).
- Design Fundamentals: Solid understanding of typography, layout grids, color theory, spatial hierarchy, and mobile/desktop responsiveness.
- Tooling: Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Penpot, or Adobe XD.
- Portfolio (Mandatory): A digital portfolio (Behance, Dribbble, Figma link, or PDF) demonstrating personal projects, UI redesigns, or case studies.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

- Experience or familiarity with open-source design tools like Penpot.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS capabilities and how frontend developers bring UI designs to life.
- Additional skills in graphic design, motion graphics, vector illustration, or video editing.
