Position Overview: We are looking for a Design Engineer - Automation who will support the engineering and design team in developing technical drawings, design documentation, automation standards, case studies, and engineering-related tools and outputs. The candidate will work closely with engineering, drafting, project delivery, operations, and other internal teams to ensure that drawings and technical documentation are accurate, standardized, well-organized, and delivered within project timelines. The role will also support design automation, spreadsheets/calculations, BOM generation, product databases, UI design coordination, and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Design & CAD Engineering:
Prepare, update, and maintain technical CAD drawings and design documentation.
Support the development and implementation of CAD modelling and drafting standards.
Ensure drawings follow defined security, automation, and company design standards.
Coordinate with engineering and drafting teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings.

Security & Automation Drawings:
Prepare and maintain drawings related to security and automation systems.
Follow approved drawing standards and documentation practices.
Ensure drawings clearly communicate system architecture, device locations, connections,



and relevant technical information.

Case Studies & Technical Documentation:
Prepare project case studies based on completed automation and technology projects.
Convert project information, drawings, photographs, and technical inputs into structured case-study documentation.
Maintain a library of completed project documentation for future reference and document technical procedures, standards, workflows, and user guides.

Team UI Design Support:
Facilitate and coordinate with the team on UI design requirements for automation projects.
Support the preparation and organization of UI design inputs based on project requirements.
Assist in maintaining consistency between system design, automation requirements, and UI implementation.

Brand Products & Product Database:
Prepare and maintain the Brand Products Excel Sheet.
Maintain accurate product information, specifications, model numbers, categories, and other relevant technical details.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other teams to update product information as required.

Cross-Functional Coordination:
Work closely with Engineering, Project Delivery, Technical, Operations, and other internal teams.
Follow up on design inputs, drawing revisions, documentation requirements, and project deliverables.
Support other engineering-related projects and activities as assigned.





Required Skills & Competencies:
Good understanding of CAD modelling and drafting; knowledge of technical drawing standards and documentation.
Understanding of Home Automation / Building Automation / AV / Security systems is preferred.
Ability to prepare and interpret engineering drawings; interest in design automation and programming.
Ability to work with engineering applications and digital design tools.
Positive working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook; ERP knowledge is preferred.
Creative and analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Strong written and verbal communication, good coordination and follow-up skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team, in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment, and in shifts when required.

Education & Experience:
BE / B.Tech – Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline (relevant engineering graduates with appropriate technical skills may also be considered), with 1-4 years of relevant experience in design, automation, CAD, engineering applications, or related fields.

Preferred Experience:
Candidates with exposure to Home Automation, Building Automation, Security Systems, AV Systems, CAD Automation, Technical Drawing & Documentation, UI design coordination, or Product/brand database management will have an advantage.
