ROSSY Ice Creams is building a modern, quality-focused ice cream manufacturing operation in Dindigul.

We are looking for energetic, reliable and hardworking Production Operatives to become part of our growing production team.

This is a practical, hands-on food manufacturing role covering ice cream production, ingredient handling, packing, cleaning, stock movement and general production activities.

Candidates who enjoy working as part of a team, are comfortable in a fast-moving production environment and are willing to learn are encouraged to apply.

Previous experience in food, dairy or ice cream manufacturing is an advantage, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided.

Working Hours

Shift: 09:00 AM – 06:00 PM

Employees will receive a:

1-hour paid lunch break

The working pattern will be either:

- 5 days out of 7, or
- 6 days out of 7

depending on the agreed employment pattern and production requirements.

Working days may include weekends.

What You Will Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Assisting in the manufacture and preparation of ice cream and related products.
- Preparing, weighing and measuring ingredients according to production instructions.
- Supporting mixing, processing, filling and production operations.
- Operating production machinery after completing the required training.
- Filling, sealing, packing and labelling finished products.
- Checking packaging and finished products for basic quality requirements.
- Moving ingredients, packaging materials and finished products.
- Carrying out regular manual-handling activities.
- Handling individual loads weighing up to approximately 25 kg when required.
- Loading and unloading production materials safely.
- Organising ingredients, packaging and finished stock.
- Working within chilled production areas.
- Entering refrigerated or frozen storage environments when required.
- Cleaning and sanitising production equipment, utensils and working areas.
- Following daily and scheduled cleaning procedures.
- Maintaining excellent personal hygiene and housekeeping standards.
- Following food-safety, quality and production procedures.
- Following FIFO and FEFO stock-rotation procedures where applicable.
- Supporting product batch identification and traceability procedures.
- Reporting product, equipment, quality or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Supporting colleagues to achieve daily production requirements.

Physical Nature of the Role

Applicants should understand that this is a physically active food-production position.

The role may involve:

- Regular manual handling.
- Lifting and moving individual loads of up to approximately 25 kg.




- Standing for extended periods during the shift.
- Repetitive production and packing activities.
- Moving ingredients and finished products.
- Working in chilled environments.
- Working in or entering frozen/freezer environments when required.
- Wearing the required protective clothing and PPE throughout production activities.

Employees must follow the company's safe manual-handling procedures at all times.

Mechanical handling equipment or other appropriate handling aids should be used where available and applicable.

PPE – Provided by ROSSY

All essential job-related Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided by ROSSY Ice Creams.

Depending on your work area, PPE may include:

- Protective production clothing
- Safety footwear
- Gloves
- Hairnet or appropriate hair covering
- Beard covering where required
- Cold-protection clothing
- Freezer/chilled-environment PPE
- Other task-specific protective equipment where necessary

Employees will be trained in the correct use of all required PPE.

Training – Provided

You do not need to know everything before joining us.

Appropriate job-related training will be provided, which may include:

- Food hygiene
- Personal hygiene standards
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Safe manual handling
- Equipment and machinery operation
- Cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Food-safety procedures
- Product quality requirements
- Allergen-awareness procedures
- Working safely in chilled environments
- Working safely around frozen-storage areas
- Production documentation and traceability procedures

Employees must successfully follow the training and operating procedures provided by the company.

Previous Experience

Previous experience within any of the following areas will be considered an advantage:

- Ice cream manufacturing
- Dairy manufacturing
- Milk or dairy processing
- Food production
- Food processing
- Bakery or confectionery manufacturing
- Frozen food production
- Chilled food manufacturing
- FMCG production
- Food packing
- Production-line operation
- Food-manufacturing machinery

Previous food or dairy manufacturing experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Minimum Eligibility

Candidates should:

- Be legally eligible to work in India.
- Be able to understand and follow workplace safety and production instructions.
- Be capable of carrying out the essential physical requirements of the role, with reasonable workplace adjustments where applicable.
- Be willing to work the agreed 5-out-of-7 or 6-out-of-7-day schedule.
- Be willing to work weekends where included within the scheduled working pattern.

Food-production experience or qualifications will be advantageous but are not compulsory.
