Job Title: Deputy Manager In Patents Dept .

Level in the organization: DM

Educational Qualification: BE/ B-Tech/ M-Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Automotive Design

Summary:
5-7 years of work experience in patent searching, drafting and prosecution (preferably in vehicle technology)

Expertise in drafting patent applications and handling examination reports of Indian Patent Office

Experience with patent databases (Derwent, Orbit) and analytics (novelty, FTO, invalidation, technology search, infringement)

Domain expertise in vehicle technology like engines, transmission, emission system, interiors, vehicle body, brakes, suspension, etc.





Prior experience in Law firm or In-house (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:
Educate and motivate engineers on IP creation and protection

Conduct ideation workshops and collaborate on new idea generation/submission

Perform patent studies on patentability, FTO, Invalidation, State of art and infringement across vehicular technologies

Draft/review patent application and response to examination reports for filing with Indian Patent Office

Any other specific job requirement:
Positive understanding of Indian Patent Act would be an added advantage
