About the Role

Ceryle Innovative Technologies LLP is looking for an experienced Design Engineer – Special Purpose Machines (SPM) to join its engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, and supporting customized Special Purpose Machines based on client requirements.

The role involves 2D/3D machine design, engineering analysis, preparation of manufacturing drawings and BOMs, product testing, troubleshooting, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct conceptual design and engineering analysis for Special Purpose Machines (SPM).
- Understand client requirements and convert them into practical and efficient machine designs.
- Prepare and review technical specifications according to project requirements.
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D machine designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Create detailed assembly, manufacturing, and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) and complete design documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering principles, company standards, and applicable specifications.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, assembly, procurement, service, and other cross-functional teams.
- Assist in in-house and onsite machine testing, commissioning, and design validation.




- Identify and resolve mechanical design, assembly, and functional issues during testing.
- Provide technical support for machine servicing and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to design improvements and modifications based on testing and field feedback.
- Prepare documentation related to mechanical troubleshooting, common issues, solutions, and preventive measures.

Key Deliverables

- 2D and 3D drawings for Special Purpose Machines.
- Detailed assembly and manufacturing drawings.
- Editable CAD files and standard soft-copy documentation.
- Complete and accurate BOMs.
- Design specifications and technical documentation.
- Troubleshooting and preventive-maintenance documentation for mechanical systems.
- Design modifications and engineering solutions based on testing and service feedback.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
- Strong knowledge of machine design and mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience in preparing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Good understanding of BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and client requirements.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials,



and fabrication methods.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical design and assembly issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Familiarity with simulation/analysis tools such as FEA will be an added advantage.

Eligibility

- Education: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 4–10 years in Mechanical Design / Machine Design / SPM / Automation / Custom Machinery
- Software: SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Salary: ₹4–14 LPA, depending on experience and technical expertise

Location

The selected candidate will be required to work from the Bhosari, Pune location for the initial 6–8 months, after which they may relocate to Mumbai. Accordingly, candidates residing in Pune or Mumbai will be considered.
